The team has been starting training at 6.30am twice a week to prepare for the Ross Kelly Cup and they managed to come out on top in Sydney last week.
After winning through four pool games and the semi-final they defeated powerhouse Endeavor Sports High in a thrilling final.
With the scores were locked at 16-all at full-time extra time was needed and Jonty Ellis scored to hand Mount Austin the win.
Nick Skinner thought it was just rewards for the hard work the team put into getting ready for the event.
“It was really good,” Skinner said. “The boys loved it and are still on a bit of a high about it. Part of the program is to train twice a week before schools so they have been getting up in this cold weather and put in a bit of work to get the win.”
