Belinda Crain said Wagga was one of 13 sites nationally take refugees from the war-ravaged nations.
“We are privileged to be able to settle and support people who are fleeing such horrendous situations,” Ms Crain said. “We have worked for many years to support refugees in the Riverina.”
Wagga and the Riverina will continue to take in refugees from around the world.
