The halfback hasn’t played since injuring his ankle against Young four weeks ago and hasn’t ruled himself out of the clash at Harris Park.
“I’m not too sure just yet, I want to give myself up until Friday before the boys train again then make a call on it,” Smart said.
“Just so the team can have a decent session together with no distractions.
“It is getting there but it is just really slow. Slower than what we expected.”
Josh Smith will also test his fitness after being injured in the same game against the Cherrypickers.
Gundagai have made one change with Dylan Cole coming in for Phil Latu.
Gundagai won the only game between the two teams earlier this season but Smart isn’t taking too much from the clash at Anzac Park three months ago.
