A prostate cancer survivor is improving the road ahead for other sufferers by riding motorbikes along the country’s east coast.

The 12 riders and six support crew rode through Wagga this week where they chatted to locals and sold one of the bikes to raise money for Australian Prostate Cancer Research and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
“It was a great little place to go through,” survivor Malcolm McGinn said.
Instead of the motorbikes, which they are used to, they are cruising along on Australia Post motorcycles.
“We deliberately wanted to make it more difficult,” Mr McGinn said.
“It’s a slow and arduous task … but looking after your health is nowhere near as difficult as riding for three weeks.”
Mr McGinn pestered doctors and specialists three years ago, adamant that his health was not 100 per cent.
His diagnosis was later confirmed and Mr McGinn is riding to tell others to get regular check-ups.
Riders left Hobart on August 20 and will ride to Cairns.
