He led the team out with daughters Jade and Jesse and son Damon by his side, and then was instrumental with brother Carl in the backline.

The win over the Pies was even more impressive given elder brother Shane Pound (calf) and captain Mitch Carroll (quad) were missing.

“The boys just really dug in, they were real good in the midfield today – they went in real hard,” Pound said.

Younger brother Dean is also a chance of returning from injury next week. 

Except for an 18-month stint with Lavington, Pound has plied his trade with the Blues, and his four brothers.

A premiership together 11 years ago is the highlight but this season is up there. 

“Oh it’s been really good, there’s been a real buzz around the club,” he said.

Pound said he enjoyed playing alongside Andrew McGown for most of his career. 

He also paid tribute to president Shane Mannes – the coach who led them to the 2005 victory – and Darren McGown for their influence on his career.

Tony’s milestone continues a remarkable family run. Carl played his 250th last month and Shane brought up 300 games last year.
