Rice growers who took advantage of on-farm efficiency techniques have delivered a bumper crop for the season. Griffith irrigator Clinton Brill delivered a whopping 15.2 tonnes per hectare, a result previously unseen in the area.

According to the Ricegrowers’ Association, favourable seasonal conditions helped with the great yields but the uptake of new techniques improved productivity despite a season of high water prices.
The results have led to a positive outlook among rice growers.
