Oasis Aquatic Centre lifeguard Phil Stone was excited to learn he and his roommate would be the first people to move in.
“I love it, it’s in a perfect location close to work and the main street,” Mr Stone said. “It’s big city living in a country city.”
The first residents mark a major milestone for the $45 million Edward Street development.
Murrumbidgee Co-operative Milling ran the site up until its departure in 1980. Mr Stone said he was happy the historic mill facade would be retained.
