According to Meat and Livestock Australia market reporter Leann Dax the fluent market was due to restocker demand.
Based on sales early in the day light weight steers were making 390c/kg to 429c/kg which was up by 25c/kg on last year.
One pen of steers weighing 400 to 500 kilograms made 368c/kg.
