Head along to the demonstration gardens and bring fruit or veges to swap, or purchase fresh veges from our community garden at the corner of Albury and Shaw streets. Gardens are open from 9am to 12pm.
Catch the Mates Gully Produce Market in the courtyard opposite Victory Memorial Gardens from 9am to 12pm.
Celebrate Christmas in July at Cottontails from 6.30pm. There’ll be a traditional four-course feast with all the trimmings and entertainment from Kevin Cross and Pete Swan. Return transport from Wagga is available, book by calling Sue or Sasha on 6928 4554.
Tarcutta Markets are open from 8am to 2pm at Tarcutta Soldiers Memorial Hall. There’ll be a large range of stalls, including home grown products, plants, home wares, jewellery, pre-loved goods, books and much more. You won’t go hungry, either, with barbecue snacks, sandwiches and cake to go with tea, coffee and soft drinks available. New stallholders are welcome at $5 per stall. Contact Kim on 0477 472 154.
A full cultural experience including Wiradjuri language and special Aboriginal places is on offer in a fully-guided tour around Wagga and surrounds highlighting Wiradjuri special cultural areas. The day tour includes a number of stops in beautiful country, language basics, site visits, stories, lunch and more. Get your green thumbs going and revitalise the landscape with National Tree Day. This year, seedlings will be planted at East Bomen Road form 10am until 12pm. Volunteers should wear enclosed footwear, sun protection and bring along wet weather gear and a pair of gardening gloves. Free sausage sizzle and seedling for each participant.
