Julianne Hall is a graphic designer who has spent years working for big companies in Sydney including Elle magazine, David Jones and Sussan.
Her move back to Wagga a few years ago signalled the start of her desire to take control of her talent and create what her heart desired – characters and patterns for children.
“My plan is to have a lot more contracts so it doesn’t matter where I live,” she said.
She attended a workshop with seven other women on Tuesday by Tractor Girl blogger Julie Gibbons on how to turn the creativity behind her business, Jookiku, into profit.
“It made me realise that all our lives are messy but the passion to do your own thing is big and you want it to fit into your messy life,” she said.
