Both meetings were called off on Wednesday following track inspections from Southern District chief steward John Davidson.
Murrumbidgee Turf Club was scheduled to host a TAB meeting on Thursday, that was postponed from last Friday, but further rain on Tuesday night ruled it out.
MTC chief executive Scott Sanbrook explained there is little that could be done.
“The weather has been relentless .... after postponing the meeting last Friday, we recorded another 24mm of rain at the track,” Sanbrook said.
“The forecast had indicated showers at the weekend, but it’s rained every day.
“Instead of drying out, the track is wetter now than ever ... it’s at saturation point.”
Davidson also reported that the Gundagai track had surface water ‘everywhere’ and had no chance to recover in time for Sunday.
In a bid to race next week, Albury’s race meeting scheduled for Friday August 5 has been transferred to Wagga.
“The chances of racing at Albury are very, very remote so to give us the best chance possible of racing, that meeting has been transferred to Wagga,” Davidson said.
“It’s still in the hands of the weather, but it’s a good example of clubs working together to give the meeting the best possible chance.”
