Highway patrol officers pulled over a car around 11.30pm and decided to search the vehicle after they believed the driver was acting nervous and suspicious.
More than $20,000 worth of amphetamines was found and seized by police.
The driver of the vehicle also tested positive for drug driving.
Three occupants of the car were detained and taken to Wagga police station for further questioning.
A number of other items were also found and seized, but police were not able to reveal what they were until an investigation is carried out.
“We consider the possession of three grams to be an indictable quantity, and we have seized almost 20 times that,” Wagga police duty officer Inspector Peter Robertson said.
“Another lot of items were also seized from the vehicle – which were not drugs – but police are unable to release what these were pending an examination.”
Charges have not yet been laid as police await definitive forensic testing results.
