Friendships and feathers stole the afternoon as residents at Cooinda Court were given a unique form of therapy with a group of energetic chooks from the Lashbrook Farm.
Farm owner Anna Lashbrook said it was an intiative that had been in the works for a long time.
"We took about half a dozen chickens, and a lot of the residents are from the country and had chickens growing up,” she said.
“It's a very relatable activity for them and it's something we'd love to roll out regionally. It's something we've always been interested in doing as a type of outside-in diversional therapy and this was the first time we did it.”
