Unhappy with some decisions in their round 10 loss to East Wagga-Kooringal, the Magpies hosted umpire coach manager Tim Beard and club liaison Phil Willis.
“It was well-received,” Beard said.
“I’d encourage all clubs to do it.”
Beard said the RUA extended an invitation to clubs earlier in the year and has held group visits with other clubs including Wagga Tigers and Marrar.
“The good thing is you get to have a chat and clear the air,” he said.
“The questions originate from games but no-one is too specific (about past decisions).”
Beard said the RUA will visit Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes and EWK in coming weeks.
He also gave a call-out to prospective officials, saying the RUA is always looking for new umpires – a reminder that a chronic shortage remains the biggest issue for the organisation.
