International milliners from Spain and England as well as local talent will present the latest in cutting-edge millinery techniques and fashion.
Milliners will have access to a range of events, each designed to inspire creativity and innovation.
“We get international ideas, up-to-the-minute techniques and it’s so nice to see what the other side of the world is doing,” International Millinery Forum president Rose Maree Organ said.
“It allows us to keep in step with them.”
Mrs Organ has been a milliner for 52 years and is still evolving her skills.
This year places an emphasis on metallics.
The forum will open with a trade day on Sunday and a cocktail party on Sunday night with a mayoral reception and fashion parade.
Workshops and tutorials will take place across the city from Monday.
A fashion parade will be held in the Marketplace on Thursday from 6.30pm and the week will culminate with a gala dinner on Friday.
Two events to benefit charity will be held for the public to attend at the Grange on Wednesday night and Country Women’s Association on Wednesday afternoon.
