The Riverina Lions mustered a commanding victory in Canberra, defeating ADFA 10.5 (65) to 1.0 (6) on Saturday. After an even first quarter, and a goal to each team, the Lions switched on and controlled the remainder of the game. Coach Dan Lloyd made several positional swaps to test combinations. Lions forward Anne Noonan was on fire, snagging five goals in a best-on-ground display, while Mel Hyland gained possession through the midfield and up forward. Half back Nic Keir was a big inclusion after missing last week's clash against defending premiers Eastlake. Keir was tough as a rhino, fending off several opponents to deliver it forward.  Claudia Haines snapped two goals in her first game in several weeks. The Lions have a bye before heading into their final home game of the season against Ainslie at Gumly Oval on July 9.
