More than 600 people tasted eight new flavours of bacon at Knights Meats and Deli’s inaugural Beer and Bacon Fest.
About a dozen ‘die-hard’ bacon lovers followed the event from the beginning of tastings at Knights to the cook-off at Thirsty Crow.
There were 15 to 20 people mingling around at all times as Wade Kelly, Neil Druce and DJ Pieroway participated in a bacon showdown.
Knights CEO Deanna McNaughton relished in being able to show Wagga residents the endless possibilities involved with bacon.
Public votes will be tallied later this week to determine which of the flavours proved most popular, with five spice and soy looking to be a front runner.
