Narrandera players formed a guard of honour as Maddox was chaired from the ground after the Hoppers big win, 12.9 (81) to 5.9 (39) at Kindra Park.
After kicking inaccurately all day and letting Narrandera back into contest, Coolamon piled on seven straight goals without a miss in the final term to seal the win.
Coolamon coach Matt Hard was pleased to get a win firstly, but was also happy to mark Maddox’s milestone with a victory.
“The boys lifted for him and Jamie played his usual game, he was very good in under,” Hard said.
“Jamie’s put in a lot of hard work over many years so it’s good to win for him, and good for the young fellas to play in it too.”
Maddox kicked three goals and was named best-on-ground.
Ryan Chamberlain was very good across half-back for Coolamon, while Mitch McKelvie, Luke Gerhard and Hayden Leary also played major roles in the win.
Hard did not know how much to take out of the performance.
“It’s hard to gauge,” he said.
“Coolamon was really heavy, it was a wet track out here. We had some good passages of play and at the end of the day we had a win.
“The most pleasing thing was that throughout the day everyone contributed and it was a pretty even team performance.”
Jarred Lane worked hard all day for Narrandera, while Brent Rose was also lively.
