In a blow to Tigers, talented midfielder Shaun Flanigan injured his hamstring in his first game back from injury on Saturday.
Flanigan tore his hamstring as he went for a contest late in the first quarter and played no further part as the Tigers defeated Leeton-Whitton by 42 points.
To make matters worse, it was Flanigan’s first game back after injuring his hamstring in the big win over Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong earlier in the month.
He sat out last week’s win over Griffith.
Flanigan joins a casualty ward at Tigers that includes key forward Rob Tuohey, key defender John Anstee and small forward Nick Ryan.
Anstee won’t be back until finals, while Tuohey’s best case is a September return.
Meantime, injured Port Adelaide footballer Dougal Howard was among those watching Tigers after undergoing a knee reconstruction on Monday night.
