According to junior development officer Juanita Bailey the under 12s are shoo-ins for the title.
“There were quite a few newcomers on the team last year, it was a baptism of fire,” Bailey said.
Under the guidance of coach Darryl Totaro, the kids have improved, and finished second in the division two competition.
The under 14s are running third in the division one competition, facing Canberra in the semi final.
“The Canberra sides are our biggest competition because they’re just so strong,” Bailey said.
“Hopefully they can pull off an upset.”
The under 16s are placed second in division two and the under 18s are fourth in division one.
“The 18s had some tight games,” Bailey said.
“It was fairly even all year.”
