Judith Marlene Grey, 55, of Ashmont, pleaded guilty to two counts of receiving a financial advantage from a Commonwealth entity.
The Newstart payments were made over three years while Grey had a job, Wagga Local Court was told.
Grey has been making voluntary repayments but still owes more than $21,000.
