Convention Centre and dining hall supervisor Kirsten Shaw shaved her head last month to help the Culley family raise money for their sick son, Hugh, who has had four open heart surgeries.
The university’s Residential Advisors were present when Ms Shaw shaved her head and the selfless act inspired them to commit their own.
They held a slave auction and raised in excess of $1500 for the heart and lung unit at Westmead Children’s Hospital.
“They are the most amazing young people,” Ms Shaw said.
“This is the true side of what CSU students are about.”
