“I hate not playing,” Wagga United keeper Andrew McCracken said.
Under McCracken’s guise the team conceded two goals in four games.
He hopes to return on Sunday to play Cootamundra.
His most spectacular save was against Young.
“A shot was going to the top left corner, our defender took a deflection, and I had to change directions,” McCracken said.
“Coach said I looked like a great white shark flailing over the water. When I fell, I flat-backed it and knocked the wind out of myself.”
Most importantly, the ball was in safe hands.
Beating arch rival Tolland was just as memorable.
“From a defensive point of view it’s always good to keep a clean sheet and they have a couple of good strikers,” McCracken said.
