Kooringal High have been the dominant team in Pool B and will get the chance to make their first Carroll Cup final in more than a decade at Robertson Oval on Wednesday night.
Kooringal take on Mater Dei for a spot in the final.
“Mater Dei will be keen to bounce back after last week’s loss,” Schmetzer said.
“We will need to play to the best of our potential to match them.
“Everyone has to play their role and the midfield will have to come with high intensity right from the first bounce.”
Mater Dei has made four changes to their team that went down to Kildare Catholic College last Wednesday night.
Young gun Connor Byrne comes into the Mater Dei team for the semi-final, along with Sam Bramich, Tom Crouch and Riley Flint.
Kooringal will look to key forwards Sam McLay and Scott Barlin to continue their good form.
Meantime, competition favourite Kildare will take on The Riverina Anglican College (TRAC) in the second semi-final at 7.15pm.
TRAC will be out to repeat the upset they produced over Kildare in the Currie Cup semi-final on Monday.
