Following 18 months as the stable driver for Narrandera trainer Shaun Snudden, Bell has decided to move back to Victoria.
Coming to the region with 14 winners to his name, Bell has now driven 163 winners and has taken a number of driving accolades.
The pair have been the dominant force in the region, but a declining number of horses is one of the reason’s the 24-year-old is returning home.
“We have cut right back and are working next to no horses so I’m heading home,” Bell said.
“It has been good, Shaun has been good to me as well as the owners and other trainers like Paul Kahlefeldt.”
Depsite rising success in the region, Bell is unsure whether he will continue to be a full-time horseman.
“There is still a little time left in the season but whether I keep doing horses is another thing,” Bell said.
“I might just move to Melbourne, get a job, just help mum with the horses and drive every now and again.
“I don’t think I will keep doing it full on.”
After East Emperor’s win on at Wagga on Saturday night, Bell leads Leeton reinsman Reece Maguire by 20 wins in the premiership race.
The season concludes on August 31.
