A unique challenge began on Tuesday to reflect the city’s liveability.
The Wagga View race is part of an overarching community strategic plan (CSP) for the future.
Wagga mayor Rod Kendall said residents are invited to have their say in the city’s direction for the next 30 years.
“The CSP is not a council plan, it’s a plan developed by the community for the community and together we are all responsible for achieving its delivery,” Mr Kendall said.
The four-week consultation process started on May 15. Many events are planned, including a truck called Charlie visiting schools, and stalls at markets and malls around the city.
A roadshow will travel to communities around Wagga to gather input from residents outside the city.
