War experience: Percy embarked on the Ceramic in April, 1915 and served on the Western Front for over three years.
Life afterwards: After his return to Wagga in 1919 Percy resumed work in the building trade.
He and his wife, Ethel, were popular musicians.
Percy was treasurer for the Wagga City Band for many years while Ethel played piano with the Riverina Revellers for weddings and social functions.
They lived at 14 Norman street and had three daughters, Lorna, Gwen and June.
Percy died at the Concord Repatriation Hospital in April, 1950, at the age of 56.
