But 43-year-old Corbett will likely have to wait until he gets out of prison before he starts making his payments.
The Tolland man was given a jail sentence of two years and six months, with one year and three months non-parole, by Judge Phillip Mahony in Wagga District Court.
Corbett was convicted of supplying a prohibited drug on an ongoing basis and two counts of supplying a prohibited drug.
He admitted to supplying ice to undercover police 11 times between May 18 and June 16.
He also admitted to another two deals negotiated with police working with Strike Force Calyx, a blitz aimed at cleaning up illegal drug supply in Wagga’s central business district, Ashmont and Tolland.
Corbett sold ice to the operatives mainly from his Tolland home.
Most of the deals were quite small.
For example, he sold .08 grams of ice for $100 on May 19 and .15g of the damaging drug for $200 on May 21.
Police arranged the deals with Corbett on his mobile telephone.
On June 15 the dealing escalated.
On that day, a police operative contacted Corbett about buying what is known as an eight-ball – or 3.5g – of ice.
The operative went to Corbett’s house and handed over $1600.
Corbett was driven to the Tolland shopping centre car park by a man not known to police.
He met a second unknown man and went back to his home where he handed over the ice.
On June 17,Corbett’s dealing ended with his arrest during raids across Wagga that netted tens of other drug pedlars.
He refused to be interviewed.
In other District Court news, a man charged with two break-ins after his fingerprints were found on windows has had three months added to jail time he was serving for other home raids.
Bernard Mate-Kahuroa admitted to breaking into homes in Kirra Place, Glenfield Park, on February 20 last year and Huthwaite Street in Mount Austin on March 5.
The sentence was backdated to February 22 and Mate-Kahuroa will be eligible for parole on May 21.
