The Dragons overcame an early 14-0 deficit to run away with the win against their nearest rivals.
Fitzhenry thought tries to Scott Bowden and Hayden Philp in the final six minutes of the first half turned the game.
After trailing 14-12 at the break, the Dragons hit the front four minutes later and were never headed.
“It was very scrappy,” Fitzhenry said.
“We struggled in the first half, turned over a lot of ball and put pressure on ourselves, but the boys hung in there and were able to run in a couple of late tries before half-time which helped us go in with a little bit of confidence.
“The second half we came out and it wasn’t too bad.”
The win moves the Dragons into fourth place ahead of the clash with Junee.
