Ag College brought up back-to-back wins in the most impressive fashion, scoring a 93-point victory over an undermanned Griffith at Beres Ellwood Oval on Saturday.

The Blacks took the early lead courtesy of penalty from Jason Waring-Byrant two minutes into the game, but from there it was all one-way traffic.
Aggies crossed for 15 tries in the 99-3 win while Griffith hardly threatened the line.
With only seven fresh players for the first grade clash, the Blacks struggled to deal with the continual onslaught.
After bringing up their first win of the season after Wagga City last week, coach Nick McCarthy was impressed with the way his team played out the game.
“Our boys played really well and are finally starting to get some reward for what we are trying to achieve and the hard work we are putting in at training,” McCarthy said.
“The tightness of our club showed through again.
“A couple of times in the game, early on in particular, Griffith really threw it at us but we managed to team our composure.”
Ag College threatened to put on plenty more points, and poor execution thwarted some good opportunities to further their lead.
However, after taking a 33-3 lead into the second half, McCarthy was pleased with how the team responded defensively.
“We bombed a few early in the game but I think our defensive work after those errors probably righted those wrongs and we were able to put enough pressure on to turn the ball over quickly again,” he said.
Max Woods crossed for a hat-trick while Jack McIntosh, Ben Brooke, Tanian Naude and Brad Hart all scored doubles in the big win.
Naude started off the rout with a nice try from the back of the scrum and was among his team’s best while Mick van Diggelen and Duncan Woods were both strong in the forwards.
Coming up against a Blacks outfit missing plenty of regular faces, Aggies were able to dominate scrums and line-outs, which helped keep them well on top in the contest.
Aggies now have plenty of confidence heading into their clash with Albury at Murrayfield on Saturday.
Last time they made the trip south they were on the end of a 101-point loss and McCarthy is looking for the club to redeem themselves.
“I am looking forward to it now,” he said.
“It was a pretty ordinary trip for us last year but we are fairly confident with the way we are playing at the moment.
“Hopefully we can continue it.”
The Steamers are still searching for their first win of the season.
