Fifteen new stores have been added to the Marketplace, including Edge Clothing, Napoleon Perdis, Skechers and Laser Clinics Australia, all new to Wagga.
The shopping centre is newly equipped with a children’s playground and 80 new basement car spaces with improved accessibility courtesy of a second travelator.
Head of the development, Chris McCluskey, said the project added 3500 square metres to the site, making it Wagga’s largest shopping centre at 25,000 square metres.
“We’re opening favourites Lorna Jane and The Body Shop, along with a relocated Kitchen Antics, bringing a bigger and improved range to shoppers,” Mr McCluskey said.
“Australia Post is now relocated with retail and post boxes in one convenient place near Forsyth Street.”
The centre has also added new and modern amenities including disabled bathrooms, open-access doorways catering for prams and shoppers with plenty of shopping.
“We’ll be kicking off the opening of the new mall on Thursday, May 12 with the Marketplace Festival, a week-long celebration where shoppers will enjoy a free gift with purchase, hair and beauty tutorials, cooking demonstrations and fashion parades,” Mr McCluskey said.
The developer behind the new Marketplace, ISPT, is one of Australia’s largest property fund managers, with more than $11.9 billion of funds under management.
