The former Sharks and Wests Tigers player stopped by to visit Wagga’s Issac Little on his second birthday on Wednesday.
Ryan posted a photo to social media of him at Ronald McDonald House, where Issac’s family is currently living as he recovers from a rare leukaemia, and commended the toddler for his bravery.
Issac’s mum has been in contact with Ryan, who follows Issac on social media.
He visited Issac when he was a baby and expressed interest in coming back to see the family.
“For people like Beau to take time out of their busy lives, it’s great,” Issac’s nan, Lisa Little, said.
“I think he’s an amazing guy.”
Miss Little said Issac is a fan of Ryan’s song, Where You From?, and that Issac was a little bit shy when the footballer first walked in.
Ryan spent about 40 minutes playing with Issac and his cousin Tyson, who turned one on the same day, before giving Issac a birthday present and visiting other families on his way out.
Miss Little said they could be home in a couple of months.
“At the moment, he is doing well,” she said.
“The new cells he received seem to be taking over.
“We are waiting for the green light to go home.”
