Best and fairest winner Jack Brooks broke his hand in the last week’s loss to Griffith and will miss six weeks.

Dane Campbell sat out the second half of the Griffith game with a neck injury and is only a 50-50 chance of lining up against Narrandera on Saturday.

Brendan Bryce is also rated a 50-50 chance as he battles a hamstring complaint, while experienced midfielder Tim Doyle is unavailable.

In a further blow, Bryce Campbell and David Johnson are unlikely to play until after the representative bye on May 21.

The positive news is that Lachie McRae, Curtis Mollison, Matt Paton and Seb Graf are all expected to come into the Bulldogs’ team for their first home game of the year at Maher Oval.

Turvey Park will be looking to bounce back after two big losses on the road to start the year, going down by 88 points against Griffith last week and 80 points to Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong the week before.

Bulldogs coach Brad Burkinshaw has put the focus well and truly on his team’s second half performances.

“It’s our second halves,” Burkinshaw said.

“We have had 22 goals kicked against us in the second half over the past two weeks and we have only kicked four.

“We’re coming out after half-time with a different attitude so we’re going to try a few different things and see if we can turn it around.”

It shapes as a big day for Turvey Park as they look to rebuild the club.

The club will hold their ‘Junior’s Day’ where all juniors get in free.

Narrandera is also looking to register there first win of the season after losses to Coolamon and Leeton-Whitton, both at home at Narrandera Sportsground.

The Eagles were in both contests for large periods only to fade late for a 69-point loss against the Crows, and 27 points against Coolamon.

Jonathon Doyle is the only inclusion into the Eagles’ squad.

Meantime, Leeton-Whitton has named an unchanged line-up for their trip to Mangoplah on Saturday to take on the undefeated Goannas.
