Hard onballer Andrew Higginson has returned to his old club and will give the Bombers' centre a massive boost.
Higginson left Marrar to play a season in the Upper Murray League with Tumbarumba.
He was one of the Roos' best players this year and helped the club to their first premiership, but Taylor says Higginson was keen to rejoin Marrar under the new coach.
"Higgo was pumped to come back," Taylor said.
"He went to Tumba for a year and got the premiership he was after, and I think he was really happy to come back to Marrar."
Marrar had arguably the best midfield in the Farrer League in 2011 but lost the majority of it during the off-season.
Higginson will join the likes of Shannon Williams, Mitch Taylor and Trent Balding in Marrar's on-ball brigade next season and provide another rotation through the middle.
Higginson was one of many departures for the Bombers following the 2011 season and Taylor is hoping he can entice more players to return for 2013.
"I'm keen to chat to all the guys that left and see what their plans are," he said.
"We are getting close to a few of them, but Higgo is the only one so far.
"We are chatting to plenty of guys so hopefully we can sign a couple more."
Taylor was also happy to announce the majority of Marrar's 2012 playing list had re-signed.
"I made sure the committee spoke to all the players after I signed," he said.
"We should have a pretty similar squad to this season."
Marrar was expected to fall away from the pack this season but did surprisingly well, making it to the preliminary final before being knocked out by The Rock-Yerong Creek.
Club stalwart Danny Malone took on the coaching job but was happy to hand the reins over to Taylor for next year.
