“The only problem was, we were missing Shaun Reddy our striker,” player Hayden Callander said. “It would have been nice to have our three-pronged combo.”
Fred and Henri Gardner picked up the slack scoring the lion’s share of goals in Lake Albert’s 22-0 win over the Northern Riverina Nomads on Sunday.
“It was good for our score difference,” Callander said.
Eight players contributed to the scoreboard in the morale-booster. While coach Michael Babic would have liked to follow up the win with another game this week, the Anzac Day general bye will give Reddy more time to recover from a knee injury.
