Laws a level playing field
AUSTRALIA’S grand mufti thinks that the government’s anti-terrorist laws are racist and discriminatory and will only be used to target Muslims.

Apparently, the mufti doesn’t seem to realise that all the terrorist activities in this country, and everywhere else in the world for that matter, are committed by Muslims.
Maybe it’s just a coincidence that all those presently incarcerated or are under investigation by ASIO and the AFP just happen to be Muslims?
The mufti has got it wrong because the laws are not racist or discriminatory.
The laws are there to target all terrorists or would-be terrorists irrespective of whether they are Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, Jews or even Australians.
And as for saying the laws breach human rights. I would like to bet the good mufti didn’t give much thought to the human rights of the two people who were killed as a direct result of the actions of the Martin Place terrorist Man Haron Monis and the two Victorian policemen who were almost killed by a crazed Muslim youth not so long ago.
And let’s not forget the innocent police employee at Parramatta who had his brains blown out by a cowardly 15-year-old Muslim terrorist.
Sure, the laws will target Muslims simply because of the fact that some of them are the only ones engaged in terrorist activities here in Australia.
A minority have brought it upon themselves by their anti-Western hatred.
It is an undeniable fact that if there were no Muslims in our country, then we would have no terrorism concerns at all.
There would be no need for the community to be under a 24/7 high terrorist alert and to live in constant fear of a terrorist attack. Because of their influence, our weak governments are bending over backwards just to appease them.
The latest disgrace is that the Australian Army is removing the motto “In this sign, conquer” from the 102-year-old hat badges of army chaplains because it is apparently offensive to Muslims.
I wonder just what all our military personnel both past and present must think?
All those who made the supreme sacrifice would be turning in their graves if they could see how our governments are selling out all their ideals and hopes that they fought and died for.
Because Christmas, Easter and Anzac Day are also offensive to Muslims, are they next on the list to go?
With spineless politicians at the helm, anything is possible.

Thanks for your support
ON BEHALF of the Leukaemia Foundation, I would like to thank the Wagga community for their active participation and support of the World’s Greatest Shave 2016.
One Australian is diagnosed with a blood cancer or a related blood disorder every 46 minutes. As the Leukaemia Foundation receives no ongoing government funding, the support of the public will help meet the increasing demand for our support services.
Each year, the foundation supports thousands of people and their families by providing practical services at no cost. These services include: information, emotional support, transport and accommodation for regional families required to relocate closer to metropolitan treatment centres. We also invest millions of dollars each year into vital research to improve treatments and find cures for blood cancer.
Thanks to all of our supporters, we are well on our way to reaching our goal of $5.6 million in NSW.
On behalf of all those diagnosed and their families, who will be supported as a direct result of your support of the World’s Greatest Shave, thank you.
