With the mercury expected to reach 38 degrees in Wagga on Saturday it was deemed too hot for any action.
Following the by-laws of the competition covering extreme weather, secretary John Swaffield said the association had no choice but to move round.
At this stage round three will be played as scheduled next Saturday with round two games to be played next Sunday.
If the weather is still above 38 degrees or too wet on Sunday the deferred round must be scheduled on the next pennant round date to ensure the rounds are played in sequence.
The season kicked off last week with Rules Club and Ganmain enjoying wins in grade three and four.
