Will it be an Anzac Biscuit beer? Or a smokey rum coffee stout?
Wagga has long been a base for the defence force and the Thirsty Crow will host a Battle of the Beers to help raise money for a defence-focused charity.
Three beers will be made by army, navy and air force.
The brewery’s sous chef Mark McClelland will soon leave to join the Royal Australian Air Force and will be one of the judges.
“It’s about quality, not quantity,” he said.
He said the competition, as well as raising interest in how beer is brewed would add to rivalry the between the services.
Brewers, defence force members and the public will decide which beer gets full production.
