Strong defence helped the Raiders prevent the Mudcrabs from taking control of the game according to player Louise Lotz.
Both teams were off to a slow start, scoring two goals a-piece in the first half.
Mudcrabs player Claudia Nugent, voted best in the pool, fired up in the third, scoring three goals.
Raiders player Phebe McLeod also turned heads with a couple of goals and strong attack.
“Both teams got out of the pool and said it was a competition,” Lotz said.
Meantime, the Dolphins proved their dominance in the pool with a 12-1 victory over the Water Hogs on Monday.
The Mermaids and the Octopuses had a tight arm-wrestle in the first quarter, but the Mermaids came out on top, winning 6-0 on Monday.
