“Where you most feel it is in your legs, you need those muscles to be a strong derby player,” Cattell said.
She’s definitely feeling the benefits and would recommend the sport to anyone.
“I worked up the courage to go along, it took me a while, and I was addicted ever since,” she said. “It makes me push myself, go outside my comfort zone, and it’s a great outlet for stress.”
She picked it up quickly and had her first competitive bout in September 2015.
The Wagga Derby Dolls are encouraging new participants to attend their ‘fresh meat’ intake event at Bolton Park on Sunday at 2.30pm.
