STUART Shaw got the shock of his life when his neighbour rang him to inform him a car had crashed into his backyard early on Tuesday morning.

About 4.15am Mr Shaw, who lives in Doherty Place, heard a loud bang.
Shortly after that he got a call from his neighbour who told him “someone has driven into your house, mate”.
The fence, which had been installed six months ago, was destroyed and a water pipe was damaged.
Mr Shaw said a neighbour said he saw five youths fleeing the scene.
He said police responded within minutes of the incident.
