Annabella Storer led the way with seven records in the 12 years girls and also managed to upstage older competitors to win the opens girls 200 metre freestyle.
Some 27 individual records were broken with Tim Murphy, Rhys Mooneym Molly Devries and Lana Duffy among those most responsible.
Murphy became the first student at the College to break one minute for the 100m freestyle in the process.
MDCC sports coordinator Nathan Irvine was just as happy with several other aspects of the carnival.
“The carnival aims to provide opportunity for competition as well as participation,” Irvine said.
“In 2016 this saw the inclusion of an additional division in the 13 and 14 Years freestyle and breaststroke events as well 50m events for Athlete’s With a Disability (AWD).
“It was great to see an even broader array of students given the opportunity to represent their House and show the school community their ability.”
Rosarie ended up as House Champions.
