The Wagga and District Bowling Association pennant season started on Saturday with Ganmain taking home a convincing 76-49 win over The Rock away from home.

However Troy Lennon’s side had much more of a battle on their hands.
They scrapped through on their rink to come away with a 20-18 victory to ensure maximum points.
Junee also scored a big points win over Rules Club.
They scored nine points overall after a tight clash between the two clubs.
Junee’s won on two of the three rinks to claim a 64-61 with Isaac Cooper’s team suffering a 27-15 defeat.
Meanwhile Ganmain’s grade seven team didn’t enjoy quite the same success.

Bernie Wild’s team met down by 15 shots while Keith Symons led his team to a six-shot loss.
Brian Hare did enjoy some success, winning by two shots.

Yerong Creek are behind Rules Red and Rules Blue.
Both teams came away with the maximum 10 points after big wins.
Rules Blue scored a 80-44 win over The Rock while Rules Red scored a 30-shot win over Junee.
Ganmain director Bob Hare said overall it was a good day for the club.
“It was a very good win, especially at The Rock,” Hare said. “But the sevens were a bit disappointing.”
Ganmain had the bye in the opening round of grade five and will start its season against Coolamon at Coolamon on Saturday.
The grade three and four team will face Rules Club at home while the grade seven team will take Rules Club in Wagga.
