As per Traffic Committee recommendations, some roundabouts that had the left lane with the option to go straight or turn left reduced to just turning left.
“Changes to markings on lanes leading into roundabouts reduce the opportunity for people to overtake on roundabouts, this reduces the potential for side swipe crashes,” a council spokesman said.
