Ahmad El-Hajjar, 24, of Ambarvale, pleaded not guilty in Wagga Local Court on Monday to seven charges laid after he and two women escaped with their lives from the single-vehicle crash on the Sturt Highway on November 21.
The charges include possessing an unregistered firearm and possessing ammunition without a permit.
It is alleged El-Hajjar had possession of a Browning semi-automatic 9mm pistol, found by police sent to investigate the crash.

El-Hajjar did not apply for bail when his case was mentioned in court for the third time following his arrest.
Magistrate Peter Dare SC adjourned the case until January 25 to set a hearing date.
