Ten employees with a disability are in the running to win the annual award.
Employers are also set to be recognised with eight in each of the two categories, small business and corporate.
The SHINE Awards have been running in Wagga since 2012 after being set up to recognise the contribution people with a disability make.
Committee member, Janine McBeath, said the awards are unique to Wagga.
“We need to recognise and give them the kudos they deserve,” Ms McBeath said.
“We look at them as shining examples.”
The awards were instigated by Alan Lean who saw the need to recognise the role people with a disability have in the community.
The awards will be held at the Wagga Council Chambers on Tuesday December 1.
