Former Sydney Swans player Tim Schmidt was in Wagga yesterday testing the talent on show at the Clontarf Foundation’s state AFL carnival at Jubilee Park.
Schmidt works as a consultant for AFL NSW-ACT and spent the past couple of days in Wagga testing talent.
He tested some kids for AFL’s multicultural talent pathways on Wednesday and then stuck around for Thursday’s carnival in a bid to find some kids worthy of inclusion in the Adam Goodes Talent Program.
The testing is designed to identify talent, who may not play the Australian rules at a club level.
