After a huge night on Tuesday, there is a chance more Riverina teenagers could make their way to AFL clubs via the rookie list.
Riverina success stories Luke Breust, Matt Suckling and Harry Cunningham were all originally drafted as rookies.
Among the Riverina hopefuls of a rookie spot are Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes’ Jock Cornell, Wagga Tigers’ Charlie Bance and Temora’s Jack Irvine.
Former Coolamon junior Mick Gibbons is also considered a chance after an outstanding year for Williamstown in the VFL.
Former Henty player Sam Murray and Albury’s Lachlan Tiziani round out Southern NSW’s chances.
AFL website draft expert Callum Twomey earlier this week labelled Essendon as the club most likely to pick up Cornell.
The draft will take place from 11.05am on Friday on the AFL website, www.afl.com.au.
