An “army” of students did a “backyard blitz” at the much loved late teacher Ron Anschuetz's garden.
The year 10 students transformed the garden bed along the back fence to the delight of Mr Anschuetz's widow, Kristy.
“It was amazing, I don’t think they realise how special it is to us,” Mrs Anschuetz said.
“It’s like having a little oasis out the back, I was shocked by how much they did.
“They are family now.”
It isn’t the first time the students have extended a helping hand to Mrs Anschuetz.
The year 10 students have given her photos and a tribute book with memories of Mr Anschuetz shortly after he died.

Shortly after Mr Anschuetz died the student wore crazy ties in his honour.
“He always used to wear crazy ties to school and we want to keep it going on his birthday and the day he died,” year 10 student Haylee Burkinshaw said.

However, the students don’t want the memorials to end when they finish school.
“We don’t want it to end when we leave, we want people in 10 or 15 years to know who he was and what he did,” student Jack Damme said.
The group's senior jumpers will have “in honour of Mr Anschuetz” embroidered on them.
“We all had so much respect for him, he didn’t judge he loved everyone and everyone loved him. His relationship with students was beyond amazing,” Jack said.

Students will play ten pin bowling, one of Mr Anschuetz’s favourite sports, on Friday in Mr Anschuetz’s honour.
They also had a lume band challenge Wednesday where each student tried to make the longest bracelet out of loom bands for a gold coin donation.
All the money raised will go towards organ donation which Mr Anschuetz was passionate about.
