Terror of gay marriage
THE recent activities of ISIS terrorists were an expression of warped interpretation of the religion of Islam.

Erroneous beliefs can often lead to the implementation of practices which are, in themselves, the consequences of these errors.
Two plus two no longer equals four, it seems.
The union of a man and a woman is no longer to be the truthful expression of marriage, despite the exclusive bonding having been the truth of marriage for numerous centuries.
In spite of space exploration, day still follows night.
That is why two persons of same gender attraction who are entitled to live together and share in a variety of benefits are not able to have their union to be marriage, simply because the truth would be warped.
Just as terrorists’ Islamic interpretations are in error, so too is incorrect definition of marriage.
While it is important to show vulnerable youth the errors of their radical application of Islam, so too we owe it to justice to reach out to our homosexual and lesbian brothers and sisters and be prepared to offer them a title to their union, which expresses the truth of their relationship.

Get down to business
NOW that Malcolm Turnbull has finished his play acting nonsense on the world stage, it's time for him to toss aside his ego and get real as our so-called prime minister.
His priority right now should be the safety of the citizens of our nation instead of pussy footing around and pretending that a "political solution" is the be all and end all.
It's a good thing those in charge of our nation during previous threats to our safety weren't as naive as he is, otherwise we wouldn't be here today to tell history as it unfolded.
Millions of people made the supreme sacrifice in wars so that we might be free.
They weren't prepared to just "wait and see".
Malcolm Turnbull gives the impression of being more concerned with his own superior image than he is with what his position of authority requires him to do on behalf of our nation’s people.
Taking in 12,000 so-called refugees sounds wonderful, however, there is no guarantee we aren't giving opportunity for terrorist cells to infiltrate our country as they come here with this mass exodus - no matter how well the screening process appears to be.
Charity begins at home - first and foremost.

More substance, Keith
THE somewhat xenophobic comments of your columnist Keith Wheeler do not contribute to positive attitudes towards people who are “different”.
He also uses statistics which he does not bother to attribute to a source.
His arguments may seem to have more credibility if he let readers know from where he gets his statistics and what is the relevance of the figures that he quotes.

Reclaiming the truth
SUNDAY’S “Reclaim Australia” rallies are receiving very predictable media coverage.
The ABC and much of the other media want us to think that most people unhappy about the effects of “Islamisation” are motivated by race-based animosity.
Also, that Reclaim Australia supports Nazism.
Not all of us are fans of Reclaim Australia — but we resent lies and misrepresentations.
